This one-day symposium introduced and discussed the issues of climate change and the impacts, both potential and real, affecting indigenous peoples in the northern hemisphere.

Presenters included: Nobel Peace Prize awardee: Steve Running, Accomplished Scholar: Daniel Wildcat, senior environmental research scientist: Nancy Maynard, USGS research scientist: Margaret Hiza-Redsteer, Professor Emeritus of Harvard University: Leroy Little Bear, and Indian Law professor: Elizabeth Kronk.

I continue to get communication from interested parties regarding the conference so the site continues to be live.

The National Geographic Society actively seeks the next generation of adventurers, photographers and explorers who will carry on the work of the society.

I was chosen to accompany Constanza Ceruti, a high-alititude archaeologist, for three days to explore Incan archaeological sites and visit surrounding communities in the mountains of South America.
